Day 3 proved to be a another great day of performances with a huge 70% pb rate from just todays' efforts!
As the each day goes by at a multiday competition, it is important that swimmers are arriving to the pool refuelled, reenergised, and ready to give each swim their best. Each day brings new opportunities and the coaching team know that with the training that has been completed back in Sydney, they can attack each day as it its the first.
To top off today’s huge pb effort, there were 11 swimmers progressing through to the night time finals.
Swim of the day...
... goes to Luke Lee, claiming bronze in the Boys 15 years 400m Freestyle with a huge 6.70s pb of 4:01.48.
The Boys 15years age group is an extremely competitive field in middle distance and distance Freestyle events so he knew he was going to have a race on his hands and that it was.
There were 4 boys out in front from the early stages of the race, which ended in a very tight race for second and third with both boys finishing within 0.10s of each other!
Great swim Luke!
