Swimmer Support

Carlile Swimming and the Carlile Swimming Team prides itself on providing meaningful and appropriate support to swimmers throughout their training and competition journey. The swimmer support initiatives aim to provide a comprehensive suite of services to the athlete and coach, with the objective of developing the swimmers both in and out of the pool. 

Forbes and Ursula Carlile Scholarships

The Carlile Foundation provide support to identified swimmers through the Forbes and Ursula Carlile Scholarship Program. The aim of the scholarship program is to identify and support talented athletes that have the potential to be selected on Swimming Australia Senior and Junior teams and squads within the current Olympic period.

Training Environment

In support of the coaching staff, the following services are incorporated into the coaching program based upon athlete and squad needs: 

  • Strength & Conditioning - Testing and Prescription

  • Physio Screenings

  • Anthropometric Screenings

  • Lactate and Physiological Testing

  • Use of Underwater Camera and feedback systems

  • Athlete Management System - Smartabase

  • Swimmer Education - Sport Psychology, Recovery, Nutrition, Injury Prevention

Club Races

The Ryde Carlile Swimming Club regularly hold Friday Night Races, with the aim being to provide an opportunity to expose the younger members to racing in a friendly and supportive environment, while also providing our older swimmers the opportunity to gain qualifying times for Area & State based meets. Intra club competitions are also held at identified times throughout the season to give our swimmers valuable race practice leading into major competitions.
